    Motivation

    (This page is under construction!)

One of the most important things you must realize about motivation, is that if you can’t find something that inspires or motivates you to change what you’re doing right now, nothing is going to change. I’ve tried for so long to help some people in my family with weight loss, but they just won’t budge. Even if you have the best intentions, you can’t force someone to suck it all up and just do it. People need to find something within them that drives them to succeed. No one can simply hand that to you. You need to discover it.

To start out, write down some goals. On paper. Right now.Write down the things you want to accomplish, the things you dream of doing, whatever comes to mind, just write it all down. Once you have a good list going, write next to it what you can do to accomplish those goals. If you don’t know right now, try to generalize or just leave it blank. But this is the part that’s really important— what you’re going to do about it. Lastly, go on the internet and look for pictures, blogs, quotes, etc. that make you feel motivated. Print some things out and post them in your room, or write them down on places you’ll see often. Until you can learn to motivate yourself without these things, you should keep them around you all the time.

One thing important to say is that you should make healthy, non-obsessive goals. Saying you want to look exactly like Miranda Kerr or whoever else is not possible. You can’t magically turn into anyone else. It’s just how life is. It’s okay to say you’d like abs similar to Zuzana Light, but don’t say you want to be someone else. You should focus on making your body, or whatever you’re trying to change, the best that it can be. Just changing little things about how you think can do wonders.
