"Yeah, well she definitely looks healthier."
That shit really bothers me when people insinuate that thin people aren’t healthy because they “don’t have much meat on their bones”. It’s just a really ignorant thing to say.
I mean. Sometimes this situation involves comparing the “average” woman to a thin person. Just an fyi, average is not a synonym for healthy. It’s not “abnormal” for someone in the US to be overweight or obese, but we all know that’s not a healthy thing. I’m not saying the definition of the “average” American woman is or isn’t healthy, but if you’re trying to discuss health you should probably go with something that specifically defines health.
I just find it really offensive. Because I’m perfectly healthy at my size. Excuse me for being an ectomorph. It’s easily taboo to call someone fat. I don’t understand why it isn’t taboo to call someone “too skinny” when that’s usually just an opinion anyways. Or worse, calling someone “anorexic” for the same reason. Why the fuck is that an insult, anyways?
If you have a magical superpower that allows you to look at someone and know they’re not healthy or have an ED… Oh, wait. You can’t. Nevermind.
